P.R.E.S.S VISION STATEMENT

01. Personal

A biblically trained individual should understand and appreciatehis/her worth as a human being created in the image and likeness of God, who istherefore, endowed with certain potentialities, skills gifts, talents, and abilities that can be used for the glory of God and the enhancement of othe human beings.

A biblically trained individual should not only understand his/her personhood, but also learn to achieve true fulfillment on a relational level. God is a relational God and he created human beings to function relationally. No human being can enjoy the fullness of life unless he/she is in a meaningful relationship.

A biblically trained individual should understand tha emotions are real strong feelings that can and should be kept in check, as one yields his/her members to the guidance and control of the Holy Spirit. Once there is relation, emotion will obviously manifest itself. Learning to analyze biblically our emotions should be one of the ultimate goals of every Christian.

A biblically trained individual should learn how to access and enjoy the benefits, privileges, and responsibilities of the new spiritual life.By the same token, he/she should become familiar with the requirements of being spiritual. The new birth brings one into a personal relationship with God, and, by this process, becomes a spiritual being capable of fellowship with God.

A biblically trained individual should learn that he/she does not serve God in a vacuum but within a society that is dealing with the effects of the Fall, and therefore, his/her words and deeds should gear at impacting the social aspect of society. As we are awaiting the second return of Christ, Christians are called to represent Christ in every aspect of life. Christians are called to speak and rally against any and every social injustice, as we seek to present the good news of the gospel.
